Privacy

The short version: this website doesn’t track you, doesn’t set cookies, and doesn’t collect your details. Here is who runs it and exactly what it does.

Who you’re dealing with

ALDBRN is a small company building its first product in the open. Here is what that means in plain terms.

Brand

ALDBRN

The name on the product, this website and everything we publish.

Legal entity

Aldabaran Inc.

The company behind the ALDBRN brand.

Stage

First product in development

Nothing is for sale yet. Joining the launch list is a request for updates, not an account, a reserved place or a price.

What this website collects

Nothing that identifies you. We have not added analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and the site doesn’t set cookies. The fonts are served from this website itself, so loading a page doesn’t contact a third-party font service.

What stays on your device

If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage, under the name “theme”, so the site looks the same on your next visit. It stays on your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.

Server logs

Like any website, the company that hosts this one may keep standard technical logs of requests, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the service running and secure. We don’t use those logs to identify or profile visitors.

Launch updates

If you ask for launch updates, we collect your email address, your answer to the optional question about your work if you give one, and a record of your consent: its wording, its version and when you gave it.

The list is stored with Supabase (database) and Resend (email delivery), which processes it in the European Union (Ireland). We keep your details until you unsubscribe; requests that are never confirmed are deleted after 30 days, and unsubscribed addresses are deleted 30 days after unsubscribing. We use them only to send the ALDBRN launch announcement and occasional product updates, and every email includes a way to unsubscribe.

To limit abuse of the signup form we also keep a keyed hash of the requesting IP address for 24 hours; it cannot be turned back into the address.

Joining the list will be a request for updates. It is not an account, a reserved place or a purchase.

Changes to this page

If what the website does changes, this page changes first, and the date at the top changes with it.
