We’re building tools that help people learn how industrial systems work and explain the decisions around them. Our first product starts with guided learning in OT. The broader ambition is to make hard-won understanding easier to retain and share.

Our story
Built for the reasoning the documents leave out.
Industrial systems come with drawings, procedures and records. The reasoning behind them is harder to find. A diagram can show a connection without explaining why it exists. A procedure can list the steps without showing what changes when the situation does.
That gap is where people moving between IT and OT spend most of their effort. You may know security and be learning the industrial context. Or you may know the plant and be building your networking and security knowledge.
Our first product starts there, with guided learning in OT: a fictional scenario, guidance tied to the exercise, and a learning memo you keep.
We’re starting narrow on purpose. One practical question, worked through properly, teaches more than a catalogue nobody finishes.
The name means “the follower”
ALDBRN comes from Aldebaran, the orange star that marks the eye of Taurus. Its name is Arabic, ad-dabarān, from a root that means to follow or to go behind. The star earned it by rising after the Pleiades and trailing them across the sky all night.
When the name reached Spain it was written several ways: aldebaran, aldabaran, addevaran. One of those old spellings is the one on our paperwork, Aldabaran Inc. ALDBRN is the same name with the vowels taken out.
We like what the name asks for. A follower pays attention to what came first: the evidence, the connection, the reason someone made a change. That is the habit our first product is built to practise.
